Get There and Get Around:

Fort Worth is nearby 2 major airports, Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW), located about 25 miles to downtown, and Dallas Love Field (DAL) which is 35 miles.  DFW is one of the larger airports in the country and a hub for American Airlines and serves many international flights while Love Field has more domestic flights and serves as the hub to the local favorite, Southwest Airlines.

The best way to get to Fort Worth from either airport is renting a car. Both airports offer many car rental options. Other options are taxis, shuttles, major rideshare companies or car rentals that all serve the airports and can get you to your vacation rental.

Getting around town?  As the city is very spread out, the best way to get around town is by car. Rideshare companies make it easy to get to and from the Forth Worth destinations once you’re in town, or there is a Trolley in the downtown area that stops at many places in the Stockyards.

In Fort Worth, July – August are the hottest months of the year with many days above 100 degrees. December – February are the coldest months and temperatures can drop to around 40 degrees. January historically is the wettest month and July and August are the driest.
