Overview
Meet the Highland Explorer — our long wheelbase CamperKing Monte Carlo designed for big views, quiet stopovers, and the kind of freedom that makes a road trip feel like a proper adventure. Whether you’re planning a couples’ escape or a family wild-camping mission, this van is set up to help you roam further and stay out longer, without sacrificing comfort when the weather turns.
Thanks to a 200watt solar panel, the Highland Explorer is ideal for off-grid nights where you want to wake up somewhere special — think lochside mornings, forest pull-ins, or a sunset spot on the coast. When you arrive, living outdoors is effortless: roll out the wind-out awning for instant shelter and extra space, then plug into the external gas BBQ point and cook outside without any hassle. It’s the simple stuff that makes the biggest difference when you’re travelling.
Inside, it’s a true 4 berth with 4 belted seats, making it a great option for families or two couples travelling together. For family travel, the rear seat includes two ISOFIX points for child car seats. Up front, both the driver and passenger captain’s seats swivel, opening up the lounge area so you can relax, eat, and plan the next day’s route together.
And when it comes to mealtimes, you’re properly covered: the Highland Explorer has an inbuilt microwave for quick, easy food on the go, plus an internal gas hob for cooking inside the van when the weather isn’t playing ball. If you’re heading to a campsite, it’s just as at home there too — with the option to add a pop-up tent, you can create even more sleeping space and flexibility, perfect for kids, extra guests, or simply spreading out a bit more.
On the road, the 150hp engine paired with a 6-speed manual gear box gives you confident performance for Highland hills and long scenic drives. The highline spec also adds those little touches that make driving and parking easier, including Adaptive Cruise Control and front & rear parking sensors — especially handy when you’re squeezing into viewpoints or manoeuvring on tighter roads.
