Overview
This van is our quiet place. Built for real life—after-work road trips, dawn rides, rainy movie nights, and the deep, still sleep you only get in a dark, quiet room. The walls are fully insulated, and the no-window design keeps it calm, private, and climate-cozy. Scout curls at our feet, Cora reads, and I make coffee without waking anyone. It feels like a little wood cabin—on wheels.
We call it the studio. Starlink (usable while driving) means meetings on mountain passes and playlists in the desert. Electric AC keeps the cabin cool in July; when the wind kicks up in Stanley, the solid cab door turns everything peaceful. At night, we dim the LEDs, pull down the projector screen, and let the roof fan whisper.
Power just works—no generator, no shore power needed. A ~7 kWh battery bank and ~400 W solar run Starlink, AC, lights, laptops, and fridge. Even on month-long trips, we’ve never dipped below ~40%. Outlets and USB ports are where you need them—no hunting for a plug or a signal.
The layout is simple: a full-size bed with deep storage, bedside charge ports, and warm wood everywhere. The kitchen has a two-burner stove, sink, cutting board, and space for your favorite skillet. A clean emergency toilet is tucked away (optional travel bottle included). Cabinets and bench storage keep clothes, gear, and pantry items organized. A bug screen covers the slider, and there’s room for a bike inside.
Driving is easy—front-wheel drive, backup camera, and a nimble wheelbase for trailheads, tight city spots, and quick grocery runs. Pick up in Garden City (near Boise/Eagle). I’ll give you a short walkthrough, share our best camping spots, and send you with a quick-start guide.
