Overview
Margo is a 2007 Ford Econoline 250 Extended with a high top. She is a DIY conversion with lots of character and unique features. The electric system is made up of 200W of solar, charging a 150ah lithium battery (that also charges while driving), and a 1000w inverter. There are both AC and DC outlets, and dimmable lights throughout the van.
The kitchen has lots of storage for food and supplies, with a movable countertop that reveals the two burner propane stove, and attaches to the counter to create an L-shape. For safety reasons, propane is not provided but you can purchase 1lb canisters as an add-on (or you can find them at Walmart of Home Depot).
The kitchen also has a foot-pump operated sink, with a 6 gallon jug for clean water, and a 6 gallon jug for grey water. Also included is a Dometic CFX28 fridge.
For cold nights, the van also has a diesel heater with a refillable tank in the back. In the living area, there is a bench (that opens for extra storage) and a pull out table with a twist on leg. The bed is a full-sized memory foam mattress cut short a few inches, but there is also a cushion that can be placed on top of the pull-out table for extra leg room if needed.
The van is about 5'4 in height. For comfortable cooking for taller folks, a folding stool is provided. There is plenty of storage space underneath the bed, as well as above the cab. Curtains and window covers are provided for your privacy, and other unique touches like the book shelf, string lights, water filter, and eclectic interior make this van feel extra comfy, cozy, and homey during your stay.
The van is gasoline fueled, a little over 19 ft long, and fits in standard parking spots. It is also about 8.5 ft tall, fits through most drive throughs but not in parking decks.
PLEASE NOTE:
• The air conditioning is NOT working!
• Because of some now repaired body damage on the driver’s side, the pink paint job is now only on one side of the vehicle (passenger side).
