New to us is one of our two Mercedes Getaways and is great for tooling around Hawaii. This is the weekender version which has back seat that folds down to a large queen size bed and it has a more open feeling compared to the full campers like the VW Vanagon Westfalia. It's easy to drive, looks like a local car, and has all of the nostalgic Westfalia camping experiences with the pop-top that has a small full sized bed, a fold out kitchen table, and a swiveling front seats. ****** The first picture is the actual picture of the campervan taken in California before it sailed on 2/17/22. The rest of the pictures are of our existing Metris's but reflect the interior of these news campervans. We have taken the stock Mercedes pop-top and have added the following: - 3" memory foam mattress topper for lower bed - Swivel seat base to the driver and passenger front seat - 8' x 8' retractable awning - 50 quart chest style electric refrigerator. - Fire extinguisher - Smoke/Carbon Monoxide detector - Stereo with CarPlay and Android Auto - Tinted the windows for cooler vehicle and great privacy - 12V and 120V AC electrical system including: - 100AH Lithium Iron Phosphate house battery - 1000W pure sine wave inverter - Small 12V fan to keep you cool when you sleep at night - high power USB outlets throughout the van These electrical upgrades will allow you to charge your phones, tablets, computers all night long as well as providing lighting and air circulation in the van for some comfortable sleeping at night. This is a huge thing. Sleeping in a van with no moving air gets very stagnant and makes for a bad night sleep. We also have everything you might need to go camping. - Bath towel for each person - Beach towel for each person - Beach chair for each person - Maps and and tour guide book - Lantern and flashlight - Pots, pans and miscellaneous cooking utensils - Bed linens and pillows - First aid kit - Stove and propane - Camp Table - Soap We include pretty much everything you need to campervan in Hawaii but do offer some extra items you might be interested in renting at an additional cost. - Children's car seat - Waterproof bluetooth speaker - Extra bed linen set - 4 person tent with air mattress - Extra camp chair - Charcoal grill and grill utensils Arriving: Our location, 4 miles south of the airport at 73-4195 Hukiloa Drive, is a short taxi or rideshare ride away. There both taxis Uber/Lyft are readily available when you arrive. From there, we will go over the campervan with you and teach you how to use it as well as noting any previous damage prior to you taking off. We'll then sign some paperwork and you're off. This process will take around 20 minutes or so. If you require to pick-up or drop-off the campervan somewhere other than our parking lot, we will charge you $7 per mile from that location. Some things to note since you are renting out a vehicle: - All drivers must be 25 years of age or older. - All drivers will need to sign Campervan Hawaii's Standard Vehicle Rental Agreement. - We will need a copy of driver'(s) licenses for every driver. - If you come from outside the US, then we will need a copy of all passports for every driver. Insurance: ***** You are 100% responsible for damage done to the exterior and interior of the vehicle. Because of this, we require this vehicle to be insured by you during the rental. There are two options for this: 1) If your personal vehicle has full coverage insurance (and you are from the US or Canada) then most likely, this rental is covered under your own insurance. In this case, you must provide us with a declaration page from your insurance company showing your coverages and proof that your insurance covers this rental vehicle. 2) If you do not have full coverage, live outside the US and Canada, or just want to purchase insurance so you do not have to use your own personal insurance, then we can provide full coverage insurance on the campervan with a $1,500 deductible. The rate is tiered based on the amenities you choose. Pricing is available to see during check-out. You can pretty much take this campervan anywhere the roads go. The are a bunch of campsites where you can reserve but there are numerous other spots where you can find a private place to camp and are off the beaten path. We'll tell you more about this after you reserve.
