Hana, Haleakala Are OK. These small vans are the size of a car which makes them SO ideal for exploring Maui.. Roads are small here, parking lots small-- Don't Stress! enjoy the van life in tiny RV camper loaded and read for adventure.. this may not have the charm of my other vintage VWs, but if you want comfort and ease, and to be able to go up to Haleakala, then this is the Campervan for you. Our campers are allowed the drive the Road the Hana, including the ‘backside’ road. PLEASE NOTE- ALL DAMAGES INCURRED ON THE BACK ROAD TO HANA ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. AS WELL AS FLAT TIRES CAUSED BY HITTING ROAD HAZARDS AND IRRESPONSIBLE DRIVING / AND OR DRIVING IN SAND ETC. This Campervan IS allowed up Crater Road / Waipoli Road. :) You CANNOT just camp anywhere you like here on Maui!! Please respect private property. However, There are private areas to camp on Maui, and yes some are off the beaten path.
